It feels like just yesterday that Grey’s Anatomy’s Jessica Capshaw (Arizona Robbins) gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but it has already been almost three months!
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the new mama at SELF Magazine’s 5th Annual Women Doing Good Awards, and she was happy to spill about her third child, sharing advice for new and expecting moms alike!
Congratulations on your new baby girl! How have the first few months been?
You know what, it’s been so great! And the third baby, it’s like they put you delightfully over the edge. And everything about the experience has led me to the fact that you plan your family as much as you can, but then you just have to let go of the reigns because you can’t control it all.
Do you have any advice for new celebrity moms?
[Laughs] Oh, I don’t know! I think for every mom, you just have to sleep and take care of yourself so you can take care of your baby. And you know what? I have to say, more than anything, especially in line with where I am tonight, you have to pick an amazing partner because it is such an arduous journey. Parenthood is so rewarding and also so challenging, so if you have the right person with you, you can do anything. I imagine if you didn’t, it would be really, really hard.
You probably don’t have a lot of down time, but are there any new fall TV shows you’re looking forward to?
I’m really excited about Elementary with Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller. I love Connie Britton, so I’m really excited about Nashville. I love that new show The Newsroom, too. But that’s it for now!
Do you have any guilty pleasure shows, like Real Housewives or anything like that?
No, I don’t watch any of that.
So, you’re more of a scripted TV kind of gal?
Yeah, I definitely am!
