The sickly titled Grey’s Anatomy episode “You Be Illin’” put in the spotlight the queen of all diseases, her viral majesty the infection. And when the infection stretches out its arm there is no such thing as an unspoken rule ‘I don’t get sick’. A bug was making its rounds around Grey- Sloan Memorial Hospital multiplying its victims in the blink of an eye. The knights in white armours were fighting the infectious intruder until they dropped down on the cold floor and befriended with rather strange objects. No matter how awful an infection can be, the writers didn’t fail to unleash their dark medical humour and turn something unpleasant into comic relief.
Dr. Robbins didn’t miss the opportunity to check the vitals on her superpowers. After a kid sneezed on her, she stated dead seriously that by the end of the day she would be taken down by the infection. And she turned out to be damn right about it…
But before the bug worked its magic on Dr. Robbins she was able to do some doctoring around the hospital and introduce Alex to a very famous Peads God. The three of them performed a successful surgery under the sounds of ‘wow wow wow yippy yo yippy yay’.
In the meantime Dr. Torres was one of the lucky doctors who wasn’t touched by the hand of the infection. The day turned out even better for her when she found a working connection with Jo.
Later, leaning on a restroom door Callie, in a very poetic manner, was talking to someone about her newly found ortho love partner. On the other side of the restroom was none other than Dr. Robbins herself, enjoying the perks of the cold floor. The infection started taking its toll on her, which meant that Dr. Robbins’ superpowers were intact, indeed.
YAY! Dear Grey’s Anatomy writers, may we see more of these Arizona’s superpowers?
Meanwhile in the hospital:
• Alex was presented with a very tempting offer regarding his future as a Peads surgeon;
• Jo found a new joy- the ortho magic;
• Derek’s fancy speech on the brain mapping project saw the light thanks to Meredith;
• Cristina’s project is gathering strength for the Harper- Avery Award race;
