After the trip to Montana with Jackson Avery and April Kepner, Grey’s Anatomy returns again to its usual place, the hospital. Some time has passed between episode 15 and 17, however things haven’t settled down completely between the doctors.
On Thursday’s evening Meredith Grey told a story about how the law of physics can apply to life, how sometimes things are meant to fall apart. Moreover, the very old couple was quite a delight despite the sad outcome for the old lady. Their story provided a good life lesson not only for Dr. Hunt but also for the audience – there is no secret for a long lasting marriage. Every couple creates their own successful recipe.
Let’s see what has been happening behind the walls of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.
April is entirely missing from the episode, which means that any follow up on her hookup with Jackson will be put on hold for a bit and stretched out through the rest of the season.
Another couple, that has been riding the boat of “will they, won’t they get together” for some time now is Meredith Grey and the cardio surgeon Dr. Riggs. They keep on dancing around each other, which is getting old and repetitive, and sooner or later that dance will bring the viewers to tears of boredom (if it hasn’t happened already).
As opposed to them, Owen and Amelia have been sailing in a very stormy weather, trying desperately to meet each other halfway. Even after the experience he had with Cristina, Owen still hasn’t learned some things. Instead of keeping on obsessing with the idea to have kids, maybe we should consider the old guy’s advice, whether he wants to spend his life with the woman he got married to. We know that both, Owen and Amelia have a very dark past and issues that they need to work on. Instead of pointing fingers at each other and fight with each other, they should start helping one another and work things out together. They can’t even have a normal conversation without screaming and yelling.
Maybe Webber and Robbins could be a good example for them how two adult people converse and clear the air between themselves. It’s more obvious now, that Dr. Webber will come around and swallow his pride. Definitely, Arizona shouldn’t feel like she has to explain herself, but for the sake of her friendship with Webber, she feels she has to clarify certain things. Their conversation is a good sign that things between them are on the way to recovery.
However, that is not the case with Dr. Pierce’ mother. Judging by the look on Avery’s face after he comes out of the surgery, things might have gotten from bad to worse for Mama Pierce.
From the official press release, we know that the upcoming episode will be about the Pierce ladies. How this story is going to end, the viewers will find out very soon.
